Donning sleeve for a better contact between residual limb and prosthesis

Putting on a transfemoral prosthesis is a daily routine task that can be very tedious. The better a prosthesis embraces the residual limb, the better it can support the prosthesis wearer. Since the prosthesis and residual limb are closely connected, there is a lot of friction during the donning process, which makes it difficult to put the prosthesis on and may cause a lot of physical strain on the arms, hands and shoulders. In addition, the skin of the residual limb is thin and particularly sensitive, so it does not tolerate much friction. Enough reasons to ensure that the residual limb is enclosed painlessly and stably by the prosthesis.

This donning aid works quite well. The asymmetric design is helpful with a long stump. Previous donning aids failed at the two seams; however, with only one seam the device appears to be holding nicely after several months of heavy usage.

How to attach Arion Easy-Proth extender to Arion Proth-Pro application aid?

The Arion Easy-Proth Extender is an extension for the Arion Proth-Pro donning device and makes it easier to slide the loop of the Arion Proth-Pro through the valve hole of the transfemoral prosthesis. It should be used in combination with the Arion Proth-Pro donning device (see top of the page).
